Reviews of Doria Grand Hotel

All in all, my stay was okay. However, the hotel shows its age and could use some renovations. The service left much to be desired—I ordered two coffees that never arrived, which was disappointing. Additionally, the location isn’t ideal if you're hoping to be in the heart of Milan.

Lovely Art Deco hotel a short walk from the central station. Staff very helpful. Sadly bar was shut during our stay, staff said it was closed at weekends which seemed a bit bizarre. Good choice of breakfast items but served in a small area with only one coffee machine so the area was quite congested. Having said all that, would stay here again as close to a number of metro stations. Can recommend also The Kitchen restaurant 10 mins walk away for dinner.

Amazing stay! No complaints. Hotel was clean and accommodating. Good WIFI. We booked another stay towards the end of our trip as well!

Our stay was far from desired. Their door-lock system was down during our stay which we have to keep requesting the receptionist to unlock our room doors for us. Is this really a 4 star hotel?? Shocking standards for Milan. Nuff said.

Location of the hotel is ok, not far from metro and central station. Overall hotel is good, but… Hotel is quite old and probably wore very good ~30 years ago, but now amenities got old. First time we’ve been given room with one big bed instead of 2 beds we’ve requested. bathtub’s pipe was stuck, and dirty water from shower stayed in for about 10 minutes after took shower. Next morning they changed our room for double ( with 2 beds), shower was fine, but safety box wasn’t working… There was drinking water in the fridge and no price list for “mini bar”, so we assumed it is free of charge. But not, after check out we found out it is not free and been charged extra. Definitely hotel should put a price list for the water in the room.

Everything perfect except the bathroom. Perhaps because it is old it looked dirty. The toilet bowl was broken and disgusting. The shower had a constant leak. Apart from this (which is important) the rest was ok.

Very nice place to stay, close to the station and subway. The room is big and very clean. The breakfast is delicious. All the staff are warm and helpful.

Arrived at the hotel at 1am after a flight from the UK. Hotel is very close walking distance to Milano Centrale, after a drop off from the airport transfer bus from Bergamo. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a great experience for a weekend break. The only downside was I couldn’t get to stay longer!

Everything was ok except the checkin was 3 pm instead of 2 pm as shown on our booking confirmation. Checkin process could definitely be improved as it took quite a while for the team to clear (just) 3-4 rooms. Besides this issue, the room was spacious, amenities fine, breakfast was quite good - some hot dishes, bread & pastries, fruits & salad, coffee machine. The walking distance from Milan Central train station is about 10mins once you’ve managed to locate the road. Look for the flags hung on the Hotel facade. It’s an older looking hotel but upkeep/revamp has been done. So, it’s a good price for location, space, amenities.

Great location very close to the central train station and a couple different subway stops. Food, drink, and convenience stores nearby. Very nice room and ambience in the whole hotel. Good breakfast with hot food, pastries, fruit, and meats/cheeses. Helpful staff.
