This is a terrible hotel, with the staff and the amenities in the room, I had all inclusive, they don't give you water, take a glass and get some from the bar 😂😂, the food is so-so, only old people, no young people at all. I had a nice view)) but you should work on the service, bring water to the room, even if it's all inclusive, or at least give it to me. Otherwise it's a disgrace to go up to the 9th floor with a glass...

The location was right in front of the beach, so it was great! It's nice that it's close enough to hear the sound of the waves from the hotel, and it's right at the sea when you step out of the hotel door!! However, there is no parking space and the building is a bit old. I think a lot of old people come here.

The most annoying thing about this hotel is that it wouldn’t take much to make it fantastic. The staff are attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is nice. However, the cleanliness wasn’t brilliant especially in the restaurant. I know that they have hundreds of people eating every day but the plates and bowls didn’t look like they’d been washed properly for a start. Be warned, they have themed food evenings. As we aren’t fans of spicy food, on “Mexican evening” all we really had was chips, cheese and crackers with the odd piece of fruit. Also drinks aren’t included, not even water which I thought was bad. They could really do with a kids section for very simple foods too. The best part of our dining experience was the deserts. Our room was much smaller than we thought it would be with very little lighting. I’d say it was smaller than a premier inn room in the uk. Having said that it was right next to the pool which was nice. Over all it was ok, but I’d try somewhere else next time. Theres a LOT of noise from the entertainment bar, the reception and the corridor to you can forget having an early night if you have an early start the next day.

My first holiday abroad and chose this hotel for my stay part of the cruise and stay. I am a solo traveller and I upgraded to privilege and wow had proper imposter syndrome. Had a fab room on floor 4 with a front balcony so was able to wake up every morning to see the surfers. Also had front row seats for the carnival which started from right below my balcony. Cases were taken to room and had lovely complimentary drinks in the mini bar. Had coffee machine ,dressing gown and slippers , pool towels and lovely bathroom accessories. Comfy beds and powerful shower were a plus. The lounge was fab with complimentary drinks and snacks with access to computers,t v and a view over the pool. Food was lovely whether I had the al a carte or the buffet and service was top notch. Made the end of my holiday a joy and would definitely like to come back as it is a brilliant location for going on walks.

Reception on the night of arrival March -25: The man at the reception was unfriendly and seemed busy, even though we (two of us) were the only customers checking in at 2am. The hotel information did not provide any information about parking or arriving with car so we drove to the hotel door with our bags, as usual. The fact is that hotel does not have its own parking lot or garage. Outside parking is allowed on certain streets (and it is not allowed to drive in front of the hotel!! YAY! ;) We were told about this as soon as we entered the lobby in an unfriendly and rude manner that the police will fine us for this. When we was asked to pay for the room the price was wrong. The man at the reception was arguing about the price of the accommodation, even though we had booked the room directly from their own website, with about -20% discount and tried to charge us a larger amount. He only accepted the amount when we showed our booking confirmation from our own email, but admitted that he can see the same confirmation on his computer screen.. I wouldn't have had the energy to have that conversation after a long day of traveling. There was no bag service to take to the rooms, even though there was a bag cart. We also didn't get the welcome drinks that are advertised on the hotel website. Next job for me at 2 am was to start finding free parking space somewhere around the city area.. and that is not easy. When I finally got to the room the next disaster hitter to the face. First, we got a room with a bathtub full of dirty towels (was it a late check-out room?), so I had to go back to the reception and show picture of the bathroom… After long time of reception wondering what to do now, we got the worst room in the hotel as a temporary solution for the first night. The room had a strong basement smell, spider webs on the headboard and in the lamps, the paint was peeling off the bathroom door and the landscape was a concrete wall. The beds were rock hard and uncomfortable. There were no welcome bottles of water in the room, which is advertised on the hotel website. We had chosen a room with a garden/pool view, but we were given a room on the street side, with a barbed wire in the window. In addition, we wished for higher floors, but the room was as low as you can go - on the ground floor. The air conditioning did not work. The bathroom only has gravity ventilation, so all the moisture stayed in the room. GOOD THINGS; A night snack was offered under the name "cold dinner", i.e. bread, cold cuts, fruits and water. This is not explained in advance anywhere, we found out that at the reception when checking in. Return to "our own room" was supposed to be during the next morning, the location was the same as at first. After breakfast I asked for it, but it wasn’t ready so we went to the pool. THE ONLY POSITIVE FEEDBACK: ?? After waiting for a few hours we requested a new room. I had asthma and allergy symptoms in the ground floor room so w

Response from Property: Dear guests, we are very sorry for what you told us at the time of your arrival at the hotel. The hotel does not offer parking, and informs of the unavailability through the network pages, or directly if customers wish, by contacting the hotel. Probably our colleagues, trying not to have a traffic ticket, for improper parking, advise you on this prohibition. We are very sorry for the misunderstanding related to the price of your room, when trying to pay it on arrival. The room allocation and meeting the requests of the clients, is always subject to availability. The restaurant is a space that provides our customers with a buffet service. Sorry if we couldn’t meet your requests and expectations. We are very grateful to your colleagues for joining us in our process of constant improvement and innovation. Best regards. The direction

Excellent entertainment during the daytime - Raoul is a gentleman and exceptional at his job. Orlando also very friendly and fun. Keep up the good work boys! We enjoyed the Poolside entertainment and the activities - particularly shuffle board and archery

After visiting numerous H10 hotels, from the Dominican Republic, Lanzorote and Tenerife, we have to say that the H10 Tenerife Playa is our favourite. We have made many great connections throughout our stay from the staff to other travellers. This is not so much a review as it is a thank you to all of the staff that endeavour to make your stay at the H10 Tenerife playa hotel a pleasure. Have to give a special mention to Mario who I believe went above and beyond to ensure that we had a very good stay this time around. Even though all of the staff endeavour to treat everyone like family, he was especially gracious to us. From: Miranda and Augustino To Mario exceptional service day and night Ayoze great coffee (barraquito) in El Lagar Sandra in housekeeping Anna and Sandra ❤️ El Lagar Alejandro. Mai. Enrique. Fernando and Jonas at the bar Juan ensures you’re safety around the pool but he also knows how to have fun Raoul knows how to raise the energy and create a good party atmosphere Along with Natalia as part of the blue team …the list goes on. All of the staff are here to ensure that you have an excellent holiday but always make sure that you come here with a smile and ready to have a good time. The staff will always do their best to ensure this but you also need to come ready to relax and enjoy what is on offer. That’s why we return so often. The staff treat you like family. As soon as you arrive, you know that if can leave your problems at home and relax, you will have great service, food, drinks, and everything that you need to truly have an outstanding time. What’s better than knowing that you will be treated well and have a lovely holiday. We will be back!

We stayed for a few nights and chose the hotel Privilege package. When we arrived the hotel was clearly under renovation so reception was located upstairs. The receptionist we met initially was not welcoming or friendly but a gentleman colleague took over and explained the details of the hotel amenities and times. We did not use the pool but we did use the top floor sun deck and the Privilege lounge area which is stocked with wine, spirits and soft drinks and some bar snacks. It has newspapers and QR codes to download newspapers on to your device - which is good. The hotel is a bit dated and needs some TLC, but the room had everything we needed (no iron) but hairdryer, mini fridge, coffee machine and aircon unit. We also had a sea view which was very nice. Breakfast service was excellent with lots of choice and omelette and fried eggs, crepes cooked to order and special thanks to Saray for going above and beyond with her friendly and attentive service. She is a credit to the hotel. Also Fernando on breakfast duty provided a good service. We asked to retain the hotel room on our final day until 1pm but the housekeeping staff did not seem to be aware and kept knocking repeatedly to see when we would be leaving to service the room. At the moment the hotel is undergoing some renovation at the ground level. So be aware of work and workers and the noise associated with this building work. For parking we parked in Mercadona in Martiánez Shopping Centre but it is expensive at just under €70 for two days. There were no spaces available near the hotel. In summary a good place to stay, some great staff, some not so friendly but good location for exploring the area and having the sea view was a bonus.

The entertainment was the highlight of my holiday (RAUL) - I've been on holidays all around the world and the canary islands but this man is the guy who I would employ in a heartbeat if I had my own hotel. Always happy, willing to help you as an individual regardless of age, religion or sexual orientation. The guy is a diamond he has made mine, my partners and my other 17 people's experience a five star. Raul he's comfortable in the spotlight, able to express himself freely and authentically, and he knows how to engage his audience and make each performance a memorable experience. A good guest knows how to captivate an audience and make a lasting impression. Also can't forget the towel man forgot his name. Absolute legend and the bar man Jonas. These staff would bend over backwards for you. Food is a solid 9/10 btw and we're not even picky eaters.

Puerto de la Cruz will steal your heart for sure, but it's the amazing staff and brilliant ambience that will keep you returning year after year to the wonderful H10 Tenerife Playa hotel . It has all you could ask for to make your holiday one to remember for all the right reasons. Unless, of course, you crave the clubbing scenes of the south of the island, then this hotel and area is not for you. If you like local culture ,wonderful surfing beaches, and a smaller hotel with friendly staff who gradually become family, then maybe give this H10 hotel a try. I think you may be pleasantly surprised !!

Good but their is a but! The hotel is in a excellent position, shops start directly at the front of the hotel, we had a room with a beautiful view of the lido. Bed is comfortable and has mattess topper and 3 pillows to choose from. Entertainment a little naff, Magician was not very good at all. They has a 3 person trio on and the ladies singing was fab . Hotel is clean and tidy, hallways need doing up ,bathroom fine. Got a decent night's sleep while staying. Food- now food is where they need to up their game. Several dishes cold , doesn't matter when you dined, cold spaghetti, cold scrambled eggs, chips, beans, cold vegetables. This really should not be the case in a hotel buffets. Some meat dishes very hard. Definitely not stewed to make it nice and soft to eat. Many dishes were hit and miss whether it would tast good or not. Paella hot and tasty, some soups tastless. Pool bar restaurant no better, mediocre pizza ,very poor choice for anyone staying all inclusive. Drinks- much better choice than other all inclusive hotels I have stayed in. Unfortunately it does not make up for the hot dishes being served up cold.

Excellent location, also ideal for watching surfers. Comfortable room (541). Guests of various nationalities, predominantly British and German. Good value. Excellent standard of cleanliness. Friendly, alert and efficient restaurant staff. Entertainment adequate (I don't want to hear "Dancing Queen" again for a while), good dancers and strong man acts. I expect to book the same holiday in the autumn. One bad experience, but not the hotel's fault: I booked a day trip to La Gomera, got on the wrong bus, was aggressively ordered off after a five minute drive - 6.40 in the morning, dark, no idea where I was - a disgraceful way to treat someone in his 80s. It turned out that two separate companies arranged bus pickups at 6.30 am, for the same destination, at the same pickup place. What could possibly go wrong?

This hotel has many positives. It's position on the seafront is perfect. All areas were very clean and staff friendly and helpful. We found it very quiet, both around the pool where there is no loud music and also at night for sleeping. One pool was heated which was nice. The rooms are not that big but we found a place for everything. The beds were soooo comfortable and the walk in shower always had plenty of hot water. . There was also shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in dispensers. The only thing the room lacked was tea and coffee making facilities ( usual in a 4*). We found the food good. Some reviews stated lack of choice but actually there was plenty of dishes but as a large number of guests were Spanish and it's on a Spanish island, there were, quite rightly, many Spanish dishes not usual for the British pallette. We found the soups and salads excellent, the mains adequate but desserts a little lacking. The only minor thing that irritated us was that the dining room had an amazing panoramic view but unfortunately you were shown to a seat and despite asking to have a window seat several times we were refused, even though there were some free. Each time we were told they were for groups of three but almost all only had 2 people at them. I guess we were doing something wrong??? You were even taken to a seat at breakfast!!!! Unheard of in any hotel we have ever stayed in. Also, and not anything to do with the hotel, we found parking impossible. There were so few spaces in the area and they were always taken. We had to use the huge free carpark at the other end of the resort and trek the 15-20 minute walk to the hotel. Obviously this was not the hotels fault but be warned if you drive here. Overall a lovely hotel and we enjoyed our stay.

Went to the H10 with my wife a couple of weeks ago, the hotel is well situated and has marvellous views from the restaurants. The H10 is spotless and the cleaning staff do a brilliant job keeping the hotel looking great. Our room was situated on the 5th floor, a bit on the compact size with only two drawers located within the wardrobe, that said, it was adequate for our needs. The reception staff were very good (apart from one who was very rude and surly) but this was a one off and she must have been having an off day. The staff in the hotel were brilliant and an asset to the establishment, especially the staff in the bar in the evening who were exceptional. I have left the negative until last, the food, (we had chosen the all inclusive option) well there was a great variety on offer at the buffet style restaurant however, it was look warm or cold. At breakfast, even the fried eggs were cold (the chef seemed to cook lots in advance instead of as people wanted them). The food on offer was plentiful but seemed to be more directed towards German guests who to be fair, in the majority. The only exception to the poor food was the theme nights which were okay, and the Al A Carte evening were the food was fairly good. On another positive note, for those choosing all inclusive, the premium spirits were included which in my experience is fairly unusual. All in all, we had a nice week at the H10, the food was the only let down to an otherwise good holiday.
