"I had a great experience staying at this hotel!
The view from our room was amazing and we particularly enjoyed the private onsen, which allowed us to unwind while watching the stunning sunset. The staff were all very friendly and polite, which made our stay even better.
However, the hotel's location is next to the beach, which means you have to climb a slope to get there. It is also quite far from the JR station, and the only public transportation available is a 30-minute bus ride.
Additionally, there are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby, so you might want to plan ahead for meals."
"Great location as just opposite bus station.
Opposite the road within 5min walk will reach supermarket and Daiso.
The room is spacious. Onsen is open from night until 10am next day. The hotel staff friendly, helpful and arrange the futon for us. You also can choose your own amenities after check in. Free coffee, tea and some juice at hotel lobby and selected floor"

Amazing
GGuest UserAlthough I only stayed in Shirahama for one night, I canceled two hotels in succession and came to Haiyue after struggling. In a quiet harbor, the boss was elegant and elegant, Lao Bai was enthusiastic and meticulous, and communication was smooth throughout the process. Opened more than a year ago, the facilities are very new, and the room is very big. You can lie on the tatami and watch the sunrise directly. You can drink up to 6 bottles of drinks a day and it is impossible to finish them. Pola toiletries have two series from makeup remover to moisturizer. There are also pigeons for children. The bathing supplies are so meticulous that they provide socks and silk eye masks. The bathing pool is super clean, and there are all kinds of ice creams for free, and the meals provided are also very rich. Despite his busy schedule, Lao Bai also drove part-time as a tour guide to take us to visit the scenic spots. He showed his sincerity in every aspect. He is already thinking about coming to Haiyue next time when the weather is hot.
GGuest UserAlthough it is a little old fashion, it is very clean. The hotel staff is also very nice, especially there are two Chinese ladies on duty at night, which makes communication very convenient; although the hot spring is a little old, the experience is also very good and it is very comfortable after soaking. The hotel will rotate the male and female baths every day, so be careful not to go to the wrong place; the breakfast is very good, standard and exquisite Japanese breakfast, seafood rice and grilled salmon are of great quality, and I am very satisfied with the food every day; there are also free sand digging tools, flip-flops, and towels at the entrance of the hotel lobby, which is very convenient to go to the beach; the best thing is that there is a self-service coin-operated washing machine, which only costs 500 yen. The clothes that the baby goes to the sea are washed and dried without having to carry dirty clothes for the next trip, which is very convenient!
The disadvantage is that there are no bath towels in the hot spring bathhouse, and you need to bring them from the room yourself. I stayed for 2 days and went back to the room every day to get towels, which is very inconvenient. There are also no large bottles of shampoo, shower gel and conditioner in the room. There are only two simple small bags full of Japanese words, which are not enough. It is not very friendly to guests who take a bath in the room.
GGuest UserFirst of all, the environment is very clean and the location is easy to find. You can take the bus directly from the JR station to Shirahama Station. You can walk there in five minutes according to the navigation. The owner's sister is a Chinese compatriot who has lived in Japan for many years. The breakfast prepared for the guests is also very exquisite. Knowing that the baby had a birthday that day, she specially prepared noodles and poached eggs in the morning, which was a surprise for the baby who loves noodles. On the last day, she also helped us book the best restaurant in this trip to Japan. The B&B is on Ginza Street. There are delicious restaurants around the B&B. The white sand beach is a five-minute walk across the street. I will choose here next time I come to Shirahama.
GGuest UserThe sea view room was great, very clean and tidy, beautiful and comfortable, private outdoor spring in the room, excellent for staying in the room. However, the meals were very disappointed that were unexpected to cost about US$600 for a night including dinner and breakfast for 2 adults and a kid. In particular, the foods for my kid were unacceptable for this price. The restaurant was not clean and the staff were not attentive.
We booked the room through Trip.com and mentioned we have a 9 years old kid with us. The staff said they have no such record and required me to prove. Luckily I have the booking record in my App and showed them we did. Then, they said it should be the problem from Trip.com. And then, they said ok and would cost 25000 yen extra for my kid. I accepted, and then they said they could not provide an extra bed for my kid and reduced the cost to 20000 yen, and I also accepted. As a customer, I felt this was not attentive and not polite to request me to prove I had mentioned a kid for the booking. That’s all fine, but the quality and taste for the meals were really unacceptable at this price range, the breakfast was horrible. At last, my case wasn’t a communication problem because the staff who talked to us wasn’t a Japanese and was a native English speaker. Anyhow, the facilities and the room of this hotel were excellent, but the meals and services were not worth for this price.
AAnonymous UserThe most satisfying hotel in the entire trip, it is worthy of being a century-old store, the staff is serious and responsible, the room is old but well maintained, and the sea view is also beautiful. After the hike, I came here, not only had a private soup, but also a rich dinner, highly recommended
LLuCyWe stay in 4 people Japanese style ocean view. The room is too old and small, stains on wall and closet door. The bed is thinner than expected. Buffet breakfast has not much choice, swimming pools and many other things have to pay extra. All staff are nice except one guy in the game room area is very rude! Outdoor hot spring have many insects and have to walk stairs . Overall the stay is unpleasant.
GGuest UserLocation: The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the bus station Jiangjinliang, but there is an uphill road, which is quite tiring. However, the hotel provides pick-up and drop-off at Shirahama Station, which needs to be booked in advance.
Food: Traditional Japanese meals are served in the morning and evening. Those who like raw and cold food will definitely like it. If you don’t like seafood, it is recommended not to include meals. The hotel refrigerator drinks are free to drink, and small snacks, milk and ice cream are also provided 24 hours a day.
Service: Very polite and courteous, the waiter will take the initiative to say hello when they meet daily.
Hygiene: The room is very new and the hygiene is very good.
Hot spring: There is no large bath, all are private baths. You can see the sea, but it is far away.
If you come to Shirahama again, I will choose it again.
ЮЮрий555Grampus Shirahama A modest hotel right near the ocean. The room was clean, but the air conditioning was all dirty. I wouldn’t want to stay here in summer. The breakfast was nearly the same as in every other hotel in Japan, though the grilled fish was a bit stale. The dining room has a wonderful view over the ocean. The staff almost didn’t speak English but tried to help anyways. Plus: the hotel has its own onsen. Minus: no bathroom in the rooms, only toilets on the floor, no shower.
--lotusShirahama's value for money ceiling. You can enjoy the hot springs in the main building, and it is very close to the popular restaurants and ramen shops. To the north, you can reach Shirarahama, and to the south, you can reach Sandanbeki. The room is considered large in Japan, and there are many shared facilities.
However, the check-in time is strictly controlled after 15:00. If you arrive early with a large suitcase, you can leave it at the hotel first and come back to check in when the time comes.
GGuest UserThe room is very general, it is the worst I have ever lived, that is, cheap, but the health is not flattering, and the check-in is not smooth, I have a front desk when I arrive at the store, but I don’t give it to me. I have to handle it by email. I can’t handle it on Android mobile phones. Then the front desk secretly disappeared and did not appear. I could not handle it. In the end, Trip.com could not solve it in the middle of the night, but recommended to me a Chinese to help me handle it successfully. I only lived in. I could go to see the sunset and see the fire. I was affected and very angry.
